Teignmouth Lantern Parade
Dear parents and carers,
I am writing to confirm the plans for the Lantern Parade on Saturday 22nd November.
The children will need to meet me outside of the Makery on Northumberland Place at 5pm where I will distribute their lanterns to them.
We will begin the parade at 5.25pm.
The route we will be taking is as follows:
From the Makery, up Northumberland Place to Somerset Place, over to Bank Street and through Bank Street. Then, down Den Road and onto Waterloo Street before heading up to the main stage through the Triangle (please see the map attached).
Please note that we may stop at the entrance of Waterloo Street to allow for the 5 Carols At 5 to be finished. The Samba band will be taking lead in the Parade and we, along with children from other schools, will follow behind.
Parents may follow the parade or meet us at the end but all children will need to be collected from us at the main stage following the event by their adult.
We ask that the children wear their school jumpers but will also need coats, hats etc. suitable for the weather. If they would like to wear a Christmas hat or some tinsel, they are more than welcome to.
