On Friday 15th November, we took part in a variety of fundraising activities across all classes to raise money for BBC Children in Need.
We raised a whopping £1020.21!
Bake Sale
The children in Miss Powley’s class chose to hold a bake sale. We used icing, chocolate buttons, sweets and sprinkles to decorate our cakes and some of the children also brought in treats that they had made at home or kindly purchased from the shop. The children worked brilliantly as a team to create posters and banners to advertise the bake sale around school. The sale was a huge success and we raised over £40!
Bookmarks
The children in year 2 made bookmarks to sell for Children In Need. We had lots of fun making these and are pleased we can now use them in our reading books.
Fun Run
Year 4 braved the bitter cold and sticky mud to run a mile for the annual charity event. They completed it enthusiastically and with many smiles, raising an incredible £275!
Games
Year 5 raised an impressive £64.50 in just 30 minutes. The children designed their own games which included hoopla, guess the sweets in the jar and lucky dip and brought in items from home to help them run the games. A big thank you to the children for giving up their time after school and to the parents for their kind donations.
Thank you for all of your support for this event for a worthy course.
