During our after school art and music club this term, we have explored classical and traditional African music, but this week it was time for… 1980’s pop!
We watched a short clip of Duran Duran performing on Top of the Pops and Mrs Fleming talked to the children about the 1980’s.
We looked at classic 80’s geometric prints and asked the children to design their own. They used pens and paper to create beautiful fabric patterns- some of which looked like they had come straight out of an 80’s magazine.
Next week, we are going to be listening to rock music and creating our own masks in the style of rock legends- KISS!
