Here at Teignmouth Community School we have chosen Exeter Leukaemia Fund as our charity for the year. Our school council will be involved in helping us choose three events to hold across the year to help raise funds for this amazing charity. Our first event will be on Wednesday 15th December when we will be holding a Take an Elfie! Day. The children will come to school dressed in their Elf costumes and take an Elfie! There will be more information to follow.
Please read the following for details of this deserving charity.
Exeter Leukaemia Fund
Life-changing conditions such as leukaemia, lymphoma and other blood disorders not only affect the individual, but also their families and all those who are closest to them.
Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) provides free support to patients and their families who attend the Haematology Centre at Exeter’s RD&E Hospital. Their aim is to make life easier, by providing practical and logistical support through a range of services. These include transport, accommodation, counselling, and the provision of vital equipment to the hospital’s Yarty ward.
ELF Fundraiser Andy Jordan:
Thank you to the staff and pupils of Teignmouth School for selecting to support ELF this year. The funds you raise will help to fund our vital patient services. We hope that the children enjoy supporting us and we can’t wait to see what exciting fundraising ideas they come up with!
