Dear parents and carers,
We are lucky to be joined this year by Sam Locke from TRAIL who will be running an after-school club to make a lantern with the children for Teignmouth Lantern Parade.
The club will run every Thursday for 4 weeks from this Thursday (9th October) up until and including 20th November (except for Thursday 16th October due to the Halloween disco taking place instead). It is open to children in key stage 2 and will take place in the art room after school until 4.15pm.
Numbers will be limited so places will be offered on a first come, first served basis. We will confirm your child has a place before the club starts on Thursday.
The lantern parade takes place on Saturday 22nd November and we would expect that the children attending the club would also commit to attending the parade. The children would need to meet me in town late afternoon and then be collected from me following the parade.
Exact timings and the route have not been set yet but by signing up to the club, you are also signing up for this event and I will then confirm timings and other necessary details as soon as they are released.
