Teignmouth Lantern Parade and Lantern Workshop

Home Forms Teignmouth Lantern Parade and Lantern Workshop

Dear parents and carers,

We are lucky to be joined this year by Sam Locke from The Makery who will be running a one-day workshop to make a lantern with the children for Teignmouth Lantern Parade.

The workshop will be on Friday 20th November during school time in our art room and it is open to children in years 2 – 6.

Numbers will be limited to 25 so places will be offered on a first come, first served basis. We will confirm your child has a place before the workshop date.

The lantern parade itself will take place on Saturday 28 November 2026, as part of Teignmouth’s Christmas Lights Switch-On celebrations. Anyone attending the workshop is also committing to attending the parade. The children would need to meet me in town late afternoon and then be collected from me following the parade.

Exact timings and the route have not been set yet but by being allocated a place in the workshop, you are also signing up for this event and I will then confirm timings and other necessary details as soon as they are released.

Kind regards,

Sarah Dudley
