Langstone Cliff Hotel: Thursday 26th March
Dear Parents/Carers,
Pupils from across the Trust have, again, been invited to work with two talented musicians, who will tour the schools within the Ivy Education Trust to write a song based around collaboration. The skills of composition and performance are encapsulated in this wonderful project, where pupils will share their own ideas that will be turned into a song.
The children will have three workshops (within school hours) over the Spring term and will then perform with other children in the trust at the Langstone Cliff Hotel on Thursday 26th March. There will be two performances – one during the afternoon and one in the evening.
On the performance day we will travel to Langstone Cliff Hotel by minibus for our rehearsal during the afternoon. There will be a short break before the first performance begins. We will aim to have an early lunch at school before heading off for the rehearsal. The children can then eat a packed tea just before the performances begin. They will then need picking up from the Langstone Cliff Hotel after the evening performance. You will be able to come and watch your child perform; there will be further information about tickets later on.
If your child would like to take part in this opportunity, please sign them up link below. They will need to be available on Thursday 26th March to attend both of the performances. It will be on a first-come-first-served basis as there are only 15 places available. I will let you know in the new year if they have been selected.
