Dear Parents and Carers,
Every year during the summer term, we hold our Healthy Living Week. This year, it will take place the week beginning 3rd June 2019 where we will be delivering age-appropriate sex and relationship and drug and alcohol awareness lessons to every year group from Reception to Year 6 using the materials from the programme Teaching SRE with Confidence in Primary Schools.
As always, we would like to provide you the opportunity to come and hear more about the programme of study, have a chance to look at some of the different lessons that will be taught in the different year groups and at some of the resources that will be used. This will also be a chance to ask any questions you may have about how we deliver sex and relationship education (SRE) here at Mill Lane. Please note that the information shared will be the same as in previous years so would suit those parents new to the school, or that haven’t already been to the meeting before.
The meeting will take place in the school library at 9.05am on Friday 24th May and we would welcome parents with children in any year group across the school. If attending, please come to the school office so you can be signed in. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.
Kind regards,
Mrs Dudley
