Such a busy and exciting first half term for Miss Sowden’s class!
“We used the iPads to help us locate a number of Stone Age and Iron Age settlements and monuments. We have discovered that there are a lot of clues from the past still around today!
On World Maths Day, we had to answer the question, ‘How tall is the school?’ We came up with some ideas and potential problems and used our problem-solving skills to try and find an answer to the question. It was lovely to do some work outside in the fresh air.
During outdoor learning, we collected some natural materials that we thought would make good Stone Age paint. In the afternoon, we tested them out. Some of the berries were hard to squash but made a good colour. We used a flour and water paste to help with the paint mixture!”
