For our ‘Pyramids & Pharaohs’ Quest Day, we had fun dressing up as Egyptian characters. There were gods, mummies, pharaohs, archaeologists and landowners. We loved mummifying tomatoes, which we did by mixing salt and bicarbonate of soda together to make our own natron. We then covered and stuffed the tomatoes to preserve them, just like the Egyptians would have done with their pharaohs. We also learnt about the importance of the river Nile, completed crosswords and word searches to show off our Egyptian knowledge, and had a boogie to a classic Bangles song.
