Here are some images from World Maths Day that took place on Thursday 14th of March 2019:
EYFS on World Maths Day:
World Maths Day – we sang the days of the week song and listened to the story about a daily delivery of penguins. The children counted out 7 penguins and 7 days of the week. We counted how many we could see altogether. (older nursery children)
World Maths Day – We read a snip it of the story 365 Penguins. On 7 days, 7 penguins got delivered. We sung the days of the week song counting 7 days. We then counted each of the penguins. The children were encouraged to use their fingers to point to each of the penguins as they counted with adult support.(younger nursery children)
