Year 6 Information

12th July 2021rachael.woodward

Dear year 6 parents and carers,
As you will now be aware, Exeter Road have made the difficult decision to cancel the enhanced transition week due to the current Covid situation and the children will only now visit on Wednesday 21st July (all the details about this transition day will be included on the information sent out by Exeter Road themselves) instead of the entire week. Because of this, all the children will remain with us at Mill Lane, in their current classes, until the end of term on Friday 23rd July.
With this in mind, we have decided to change the date of our year 6 leavers’ party from Thursday 15th July to Thursday 22nd July. The year 6 children will still be invited to join us from 4 – 6pm on our school field on this revised date where we will be organising some fun activities and ordering pizzas to share to celebrate their last days of primary school together.
All children will need to be collected at 6pm from the main school gates unless specific permission has been received by email or letter to say they can walk home on their own at 6pm.
The leavers assembly video will also be made available to parents on this new date of Thursday 22nd July.
Thank you to those that have already sent in the photos of their child around the time of their first day at school. If you are yet to do so, please could you send it via email by Wednesday 14th July so that it can be included.
All correspondence regarding the leavers’ party and photos for the leavers’ video should be sent to: sarah.dudley@teignmouthschool.co.uk
Kind regards,
The year 6 team
