Year 6 Residential – Important Information

21st September 2021Andrew Webber

Dear parent/carer,

As you know, Year 6 are going on their residential trip to Grenville House this term (Monday 29th November – Friday 3rd December). This letter is to clear up a few questions that arose at the meeting this week.

Here is a link to their website for more information:

https://www.grenvillehouse.co.uk/

The children need to be in school at normal time on Monday 29th and will be back for 3.00pm on Friday 3rd.

The children WILL NEED a packed lunch for the first day. Children that receive free school meals will be provided with a school packed lunch.

Although the kit list mentions money, there is nowhere for the children to spend any and thus no need to bring any. The kit list is a non-editable form given to us by Grenville House; apologies for any confusion. Bedding is provided.

  • Kit list

If any medication is needed a medical form needs to be completed; see the office for these.

All children need a completed SOE3 form (click link to complete).

Staff going on the trip are: Mr Correy, Mrs Corbett and Mr Maunder (for the whole week), Mr Marchant, Mrs Dudley and Mrs Fleming (each for part of the week).
No electronics are allowed (‘phones, tablets, games consoles etc,). Children may bring a camera but it will be their responsibility to take care of it. Books, card games and travel board games are fine.

If you have any questions, please come and see either myself or Mr Correy at any time and we will do our best to help.
