WALT: create a potion and write a list of ingredients Today we have been creating potions and created a list of ingredients each. We also added one ingredient each to a class potion list and then enjoyed working in the water tray to bring the potions to life!

The Nursery children are learning about music this half term. Mr Maunder kindly came and played some music for the children. He explained about the strings on the guitar, the different chords and shared some of his favourite songs. The children enjoyed having a dance along to the music.

Year 1 have been writing newspaper reports all about Cinderella. We looked at the features of a newspaper report and had a go at writing as news reporters! The NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) recently visited the school and delivered some assemblies to the children about staying safe. Year 5/6 participated in a work shop with the volunteers.
Year 2 are looking at the magic of topic and have had a visit from Emazdad the magician. The children enjoyed watching a magic show and learning how to perform a magic trick using a 2p coin.
Children from Key Stage 1 entered a diary writing competition with the young writers association. 5 of the entries were chosen to be published in a book. Well done, amazing writing!
