Trust Music Event

Langstone Cliff Hotel: Wednesday 9th July

Dear Parents/Carers,

Pupils from across the Trust have, again, worked with two talented musicians, who have toured the schools within Ivy Education Trust to write a musical piece together based on aspiration. The skills of composition and performance are encapsulated in this wonderful project, where pupils have shared ideas about their own aspirations which has been turned into a song.

The children who have participated in the project will be gathering in the Langstone Cliff Hotel on Wednesday 10th July to rehearse and then perform to parents. There will be two performances – one at 4:00pm and a second one at 6:00pm. As the event involves a large number of pupils, the online booking system will limit the number of tickets that you can have.  We will not be charging for these, but putting out donation buckets at the end to raise money to be able to run further projects.  Pupils will be performing at both concerts and are required to stay for the second performance.  They will wear their smart school uniform.

We will travel to Langstone Cliff Hotel by minibus for our rehearsal during the afternoon. There will be a short break before the performance starts at 4pm.  We will aim to have an early lunch at school before heading off for the rehearsal.  The children can then eat their packed tea just before the performances begin.

The final performance will finish at 7:00pm and parents/carers can collect their child at this time from the Langstone Cliff Hotel.  In order to book your seats for the performance you wish to attend, please use the following link –

https://TheIvyChoirSummerFestival.eventbrite.co.uk

Parking is limited, so please do arrive in time to find a suitable space. The bar will be open for pre-show drinks, and if parents/guests from the first show would like to wait to collect after the second show you can move to the lounge or outdoor seating area in the main hotel.

Ivy Education Trust value these fantastic experiences for the pupils.  The pupils have worked incredibly hard, and we are looking forward to celebrating their achievements at this special event.

We hope you will be able to watch your child perform and thank you for your continued support.

Please complete the permission slip link below if you wish your child to take part in this event.

Best wishes

Miss Sowden
