Teignmouth Music Festival
St Michael the Archangel Church, Dawlish Street, Teignmouth TQ14 8TB
Dear parents/carers,
Year 3 have been working with a local musician, David Haines, on a little singing project where they will have the opportunity to perform alongside other children from schools in Teignmouth, and the South Devon Singers Choir. David has composed a number of songs which the children have been practising and on Saturday 27th April (as part of the Teignmouth Music Festival), they are invited to come along and sing them at St Michael’s Church. They do not need to wear school uniform and the details of the session they will be involved in is below. It would be lovely to see some of the children coming and watching some of the recitals before singing the songs they have been working on in class
The session is free for all to attend, and although I will be there, you will need to stay with your child while they are there. You can come along for the whole session, or from 10:45am (ready to perform at 11:00am) until the children have finished singing their songs. If possible, could you let us know whether your child will be coming along on Saturday 27th April, so that we have an idea of how many to expect. It is an amazing opportunity for them to see some other people perform too, and listen to some of the live music that will be on offer.
Thanks
Miss Sowden and Mr Paine
