Dear Parents and Carers,
As part of our ‘How does your garden grow?’ topic this half term, we will be taking the children to a local allotment. This trip will take place on Monday 24th March.
We will leave school at 9:05 and walk to the allotment. On the way, we will follow a map and talk about our local environment. Once at the allotment, we will be met by the owner, who will talk us through what they have planted. We will draw pictures of the things growing and explore the area in small groups. We may even get a chance to play in the park, before heading back to school at 10:00am.
Children will need to wear school uniform, and wear a coat. We may require a few parent helpers, so please let us know when filling out the permission form link below.
This trip may be postponed due to how much is growing at the allotment. The volunteer who will be accompanying us, will let us know the week before.
